I Married Joan, an early sitcom that was a rival of I Love Lucy, aired on NBC from 1952 to 1955. In this episode, Joan's noisy neighbors are moving out after six years of keeping Joan and Fred awake nights. Joan is ecstatic when she learns that their new neighbors, the Murdock's, are a quiet, elderly couple. But once the Murdock's move in, the nights aren't quite as quiet as Joan expected.
