Have you ever wanted to be a Dakota Wizard? One way to reach that goal is to tryout and make the team, but now there's another way. That's because the Wizards have been 'digitized' in a video game. The Wizards and the rest of the D-League are featured in the current edition of 'NBA '09: The Inside' and here's a sneak-peak. Because of the constant movement in the D-League, players with Wizards ties aren't included on their roster...though many former players are on NBA rosters. The game does allow you to create a player and then move up to the NBA. The franchise says that they look at making it to the 'virtual world' as a reward for their success in the real world. (TOM WAGGANER:) I think it says a lot for the organization, seeing where it has come from in its 14 years - coming from the IBA to the CBA and now into the D-League and that was one of the reasons why the McCormicks wanted to take this jump. In edition to seeing better players on the floor and NBA players come down on an assignment - is that you get this type of exposure. The game is currently available. Meanwhile, opening night isn't that far away for the Wizards. November 29th is the big night when Iowa comes to town.
