From Oakland, CA comes a three piece indie rock group aptly titled Songs for Mom, comprised of Molly / Allana (guitar / bass / vox), and Carey (drums). It was great catching up with Dennis at SXSW 2008. I interviewed him right after he finished his panel on location based games. Dennis and I were in the same cohort at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU where I saw him developing DodgeBall.com, which was later sold to Google. One of the great things for me about SXSW was being able to reconnect with folks I had not seen lately, like Dennis. Don't let his relaxed manner fool you. Dennis is one of the hardest workin' men in location based social tech.
