Today's edition of The Morning Swim Show features an interview with first-time Olympian Kim Vandenberg and celebrates FINA's 100th birthday.The news segment breaks down this week's protest by Laura Wilkinson and Jessica Livingston of USA Diving's decision to name another duo to the synchro platform diving team, as well as two standout swimmers from the USA Swimming sectionals.In Reaction Time, Olympian Kim Vandenberg talks about the emotion of making her first Olympic team, what it's like to be Amanda Beard's roommate and how she's preparing for her leg in the prelims of the 800 freestyle relay.The show concludes with a brief history of the first 100 years of FINA, the international federation for all the aquatic sports. Among the highlights are adding women to Olympic swimming in 1912 and creating a world aquatics championships in 1973.

The reinstatement of Arizona State University s men s swim team and Olympic diving highlight Thursday s edition of The Morning Swim Show. Host Peter Busch talks to ASU head coach Mike Chasson about getting the men s team reinstated, what other struggling teams can do to keep their programs alive, and how it has affected the number of recruits and continuing swimmers on his team. It s going to be a rebuilding year, Chasson said. To help break down the competition on the diving boards at the Olympics, Frank Gorman, a 1964 silver medalist on springboard, gives some analysis of the American team and which stars, namely Troy Dumais, Laura Wilkinson and Chris Colwill, will stand out most. He also talks about the Chinese divers and their chances to sweep the diving events, as well as the potential of 13-year-old diver Thomas Daley.

ON Wednesday's edition of The Morning Swim Show, viewers will learn more about the possible contenders in the Olympic final of the women's 100 fly and hear from one of the most talented water polo players. Host Peter Busch starts the show by analyzing the recent court injunction in Germany that has put Vipa Bernhardt on the Olympic team as the third member of the country's 200 breast roster. With a final decision to be handed down this weekend, it's likely the outcome will send one swimmer back to Germany, while two swim the event in Beijing. In Reaction Time, Swimming World senior writer John Lohn talks with Busch about the Olympic medal contenders in the women's 100 butterfly. Lohn suspects the talents of Aussies Libby Trickett and Jessicah Schipper are far ahead of the rest of the world, which could mean an Australian 1-2 finish. Former water polo player Wolf Wigo talks with renowned player Tony Azevedo about the USA men's water polo team's preparation for Beijing. Azevedo says the countries in the USA's bracket at the Olympics looks a little tough, but the Americans will be ready to compete in August, thanks to a grueling summer of competitions and hard training.
