Operating on a limited budget, they decide to utilise Sean s camcorder and film a documentary of their efforts to beat their competitors and find the biggest news stories around, therefore regaining their old jobs with low budget cable channel C.A.T.V. The characters are worlds apart, yet are emotionally and professionally reliant on one another. They need each other to pull themselves out of the hole they have dug themselves, despite a mutual contempt for one another. It is upon this relationship that the premise of the show relies.
