The total fuzzy guitar sounding band literally 'controls' traffic of the internet with mainly two of their nearly 93 Songs; 1992's "Brandy" and 1991's "Black or White Song". The two Songs propel this once unknown band to highly respected status and downloadership in cyberspace ! "Black or White Song" traffic has nearly quadrupled, exploding since the death of pop star Michael Jackson. The song was already big, landing G.e. on the front pages of GoogleVideoCom, Youtube, and Myspace previously in 2007 and 2008. Youtube traffic for Greenhouse Effect music has been slowly excellerating beginning in early 2009 with the success of "People (that won't back down)" and "Irie Bob". IRIE BOB recently netted its 47,000th Youtube song view. Much of the recent G.e. traffic has been falsely credited to the explosion of white hip hop rapper Asher Roth and his Greenhouse Effect Mixtape, a source of frustration for Hagins. Around the world in 'indie rock' circles, G.e. is known as 'the real band that started the grunge scene'. Having the miss-fortune of being from Los Angeles and not Seattle in the mid to late 1980's, Clark Hagins would peddle his fledgling ideas for a 'three piece garage band' to major labels like Geffen and Capital Records as early as 1985 and 86 !!! "Getting great reviews in punk rock magazines like Flipside and Ben is dead was critical in our success" says Clark Hagins "We would make sure to play all the biggest rock festivals around Los Angeles, Torrance and Redondo Beach,...it was great to play the Wilson Park in Torrance Fests" says Higgins. Its funny, because I have had quite a difficult time selling my musical ideas to the public,..especially around the South Bay and Carlsbad down here in San Diego but the internet has changed all that,..now so many people can enjoy our melodic songs,..we get our chance atlast after all these years,....Back in the South Bay , about the only people I could get into my music were the fine folks at Goboy Records in Redondo !!
