How To Outline Fonts In Adobe Illustrator Avoid having to find and send fonts to your printer with Illustrator files. For printers to use Illustrator files that contain type made with fonts they either need the actual font file or the fonts need to be outlined. First open the file that you need to outline the fonts in. First, select the type that needs to be outlined. Then goto the font menu, and select the "outline fonts" option. Then save your file. Now you don't have to hunt down the fonts to send to your printer. Thanks for watching

Die cut stickers are stickers that are cut to a special shape, like this AllTop sticker. A special tool is made from a block of wood and steel rule. This tool is called a die tool. The die tool is setup with the same layout as the previously printed sheets of stickers. Great care is taken to make sure the steel rules are aligned properly within the die. Rubber needs to be added to the die so that the stickers don t get caught in the tool while cutting. Glue is applied to the inside surface and a thick rubber sheet is pressed into the die. A final check is done to ensure that the previously printed sheets of stickers and the final die will align properly on the die-cutting press The die is now mounted on the die-cutting press. Great care is taken to be sure the die and the printed sheets of stickers will align properly. A single test sheet is used to check the final setup so that any last minute adjustments can be made. All of the previously printed sheets of AllTop stickers are now loaded into the machine s automatic feeder. A series of suction tubes and steel grippers grab one sheet at a time and place it on the cutting surface. Each sheet is cut individually and placed to the side. A single cut by this cutting machine frees the stickers for the next step. The die-cut stickers are now punched out by hand and a simple rubber band keeps the stacks in order. And that s how die-cutting is done at StickerGiant.

Silkscreen printing is an everyday part of our lives. This printing method has its origins in China almost 3000 years ago. Many of the stickers we print are silkscreen printed like these Laughing Squid stickers. This sticker has a green impression, and a black impression. When combined, they make a two color sticker. Two screens mounted on a rigid frame are created, one for the green impression and one for the black impression. The yellow areas are where the ink will pass through the screen. The green screen is mounted on the printing press making sure it is aligned properly. A specially formulated green ink is prepared, .and a pre-measured amount is applied to the screen. 2 large squeegees set the ink in place, and the machine begins to feed the adhesive backed vinyl sheets into the machine. A series of suction cups and steel fingers make sure the sheets go in one at a time. Two large squeegees alternate spreading ink across the screen and then scraping it off again. The ink is squeezed through the screen onto the vinyl sheets. The inks are dried instantly using ultraviolet light. This job required 500 sheets to be printed. The sheets are stacked and taken back to the front of the press. The screen is cleaned and the ink is put away to be used another day. Now the black screen is carefully mounted on the press. Black ink is applied, and the sheets are fed back into the machine. The process is repeated applying the black impression onto previously printed sheets. The printing process is completed and the sheets are fed through a slitting machine. Each sheet gets four slits so the stickers have a crack and peel backing. The stickers are ready to be trimmed in this cutting machine. After careful alignment the 5 horizontal cuts are made consecutively. This machine requires the operator to use two hands to activate the blade. This reduces the risk of injury. The sheets are turned and the process is repeated making the 7 vertical cuts. Once the trimming is complete, a simple rubber band keeps the finished stickers in order. And that's how 2-color Laughing Squid stickers are made at StickerGiant.

Rather than put the logo on a standard shape, circle square we created a custom die cut sticker on brushed chrome Mylar printed 1 color with a crack and peel backing and a non-permanent adhesive that won't mar your macbook or iphone. Recently the women of Central Arkansas Roller Derby came to us to make stickers for their club. These women call themselves the rock-n-renegades so we had to make them a rockin sticker. This 2-color vinyl sticker we made for them is a hit in roller-rinks across Arkansas. The Rockin Renegades raise money for charity and are revitalizing the female roller derby scene in Arkansas. StickerGiant.com Laptop Stickers on John's new MacBook Pro Hi I'm John Fischer and today I'm gonna put a whole bunch of new stickers on my brand new MacBook Pro. So here I am in front of my MacBook Pro. I have a pile of stickers that I have pulled from the sample pile at stickergiant. These are all stickers that we have printed and I am going to stick them to my laptop. The most important thing is that you put them on correctly, if I put them on facing me they will be upside down when I open my laptop. So I'm going to turn my laptop around and put them on like that, oriented the way the apple is. Ok now I have oriented my laptop properly and I'm gonna start putting stickers on the laptop, I went through the StickerGiant samples and I picked out a group of stickers that I really like, cool designs, small, I like small stickers for my laptop, if they are too big I think they are ugly.
