I wrote this song based on the time I was doing comedy until 2am every Friday and Saturday night in NYC. By the time I'd get to the bars with my comedian friends, the cream of the crop was long gone. So we started to affectionately refer to going out this late as "Dumpster Diving".

http://hubpages.com/hub/Student-Motivation-Tips - The solution is simple, if you think your goal is too big for you, then cut it into small parts so you could get closer to it one step at a time. It s like having to eat a bunch of expensive salad that ll go bad in a couple days. Not being a huge fan of salad, you eat a little bit at a time. Before you know it you ve eaten the whole thing and you feel awesome. It s the same for studying. So you want an A - You have to write essays, ace tests, turn in great projects. Don t think you ll do all in one sitting. Every thing you do can be broken down into ONE next step. That next step will lead you to another step. And so on till you ve earned you re A.

http://hubpages.com/hub/Student-Motivation-Tips - Imagine that you re in your class and here comes the teacher. Does that teacher have good news or bad news to share with you? Most students will tell me it s BAD NEWS! Makes you wonder why we have such nightmarish images when it comes to teachers, classes and grades, right? And that s because we think we re gonna fail. We haven t even tried anything yet and we automatically think the worst. But if you want to pass, like really pass with good grades, it s gotta mean something important to you. Say each test you aced got you closer to being handed a suit case stuffed with hundred dollar bills. The more steps you took, the closer you d be to those fat stacks of cash. By the time you re just a few steps away, you d do what ever it took, right? College graduates make over a million dollars more in a lifetime. Keep moving forward.

http://hubpages.com/hub/Student-Motivation-Tips - What makes you think Einstein was successful? Or Thomas Edison? You just know that with these scientists, they just cram whenever a test comes and just pass it perfectly. With no sweat at all. Our teachers told us, it s their high IQs. Really? Edison was kicked out of school after 3 months. Einstein dropped out because school crushed the spirit of learning. Now, why is Mother Theresa loved by many? Or Martin Luther King Jr.? We somehow know that if they also take a test, they could ace it just fine. Is it because history tells them they also have high IQs? Or is it something else? That something else is their emotional intelligence. They are able to use their passion in such a way that it made them successful. IQ is not the answer to everything.
