This is the first offering after the original drummer for The Samples traveled to Jamaica with acoustic guitar and drum machine to record experimental dancehall/hiphop/party music with Jamaica s premiere musicians including Bounty Killer, Sly s and was treated to something unlike any of the other performances I d been to during the previous three days of the festival. Bouba plays the Kora, a 21 stringed lute, drums, and sang in his traditional West African style, while musicians jammed alongside. Rumor has it that earlier in the fesival, Bouba had heard a guitarist speaking his native language in town, introduced himself and shortly found himself playing side by side at the showcase, with quite the electric charge in the air and smiles all around. I recently spoke with Jeep and he was extremely excited to get this track out to you all.
