Soundscapes Videos

Afzonderlijke impressies van drie Bruggelingen. Een compilatie van hun indrukken met de stad als onderwerp. Zij willen een gevoel overbrengen: 'Wat het betekent om elkaar te kennen binnen de stedelijke context waarin we leven'. De improvisaties van beelden, muziek en woord verschillen onderling van karakter en stemming.

Deze korte soundscape maakt onderdeel uit van drie stukken die ik samen maakte met goede vriend en 'Bad Bob' maatje Guido van Gennep voor een van zijn (experimentele) films. Ik herinner me goed dat al mijn spullen stonden opgestapeld in dozen omdat alles was ingepakt voor de verhuizing de volgende dag naar mijn huidige woning. In de woonkamer stond nog slechts een eettafel die was volgezet met computers, recorders, en instrumenten. Zo werkten die dag tot 's-avonds (zeer) laat aan de drie soundscapes voor zijn korte film. De samples maakte ik met mijn Amiga 3000. De instrumenten zijn afkomstig van de Amiga en een Roland MT32 en een Roland D10. Epiloog: De verhuizing de volgende ochtend verliep uiterst vlot. In twee uur stonden alle spullen dankzij de hulp van vele handen op de bovenste etage.
