Azure Chaotic - Single Segment Speed Run
from YouTube :: Tag // second life August 24, 2008
This game is a Super Mario World hack created by Azure. (AzureDreams777 on YouTube) I am simply the destroyer of his many weeks of work. I take no credit for level design save for the Break the Targets stages. I can generally answer questions about what's in the game already, but please do not pester him for more information. He will give out new information on his own terms. THIS IS A SINGLE SEGMENT SPEED RUN. LEVELS ARE BELOW MY PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS BECAUSE I AM A HUMAN BEING! Now that I've caught your attention. This speed run uses no slow downs, no save states, no frame by frame, no cheating devices, etc. It is played on a keyboard with human hands, so human mistakes are expected. I know you're used to be close-to-perfect videos, but please understand that Azure Chaotic, while easy, is a total bitch to speed run. Aside from that, it's a very fun game to play, and I encourage everyone to play it and speed run it to pass the time. Below are my thoughts on individual levels. Title Screen: I decided to wait so you could see the title. I don't exactly know why. Training level: I skipped this because it plays no important role in speed running the game. Forest of Hope 1: I am very pleased with this stage. I didn't expect it to turn out so well. I even did a few tricks for eye candy. ^_^ Ruins of Sol: I spent a few minutes on this strategy. I even altered my best to make this stage easier. Not many mistakes were made here. Endless Grotto: Yeah. I went down the hole by mistake. Thank goodness it just warps me back to the top of the same room. =) the flying arrows of doom boss went pretty well, I could have stood to get hit a little less, though. Forest of Hope 2: This is my favorite stage in the entire game. I wanted it to be perfect, but that didn't happen. I lost control of Lucian while exiting the put outside of the cave, and again near the end of the cave. The speed run started to get really tense in this level. Near the end of the cave I ran back and forth to gain speed for the super dash. It was the safest method to ensure a one-try cavot. (CHECK THIS WORD) Lake Elias: One word. Fuck. I fell down there three times, and I would have aborted this entire run had I not done a mad dash through the platforms. I personally feel that it makes up for the falls. ^_^ Oh, well. That's life. You take your time and mess it up, but it works full speed ahead. =p Plains of Despair: This level was decent. I was hit a few times in the beginnnig, but no worries. The overall run is still great. I also jumped too early for the second crystal. Whoops. Isle of Magic: I have a strategy that is 10 times faster, but it's also 10 times more dangerous. Please understand why I took my time. the boss fight was pretty decent. Not as fast as I'd liked to have done it, but fast nonetheless. Unknown Island: I had an itch on my foot about the time I was going for the warp star. I was trying to get it and scratch my foot at the same time, but that didn't quite work out. =p I also chose this level over Crystal Labyrinth because this one is a much safer place to be when you're tense. Crystal Labyrinth would have been a death sentence for this run. Aside from those things I had to point out, I am pretty pleased with this stage. Not fast, but I do provide an (almost) always-active strategy that's entertaining to watch. I "slow read" the final cutscene of Unknown Island just for kicks. I was done with it, and I was so glad to be done that I just took my time through a cutscene. Overall: I think I did a really good job on this. Other people may like to argue that, but this game is hard to do fast, and I did the entire game in under fourteen minutes. I think that's quite an accomplishment for a game where people were stuck on the training level. I was also even considering making it two segments, but I didn't think that would be fun to watch. To really experience a game, you have to do it all or none of it. I really hope you liked this video. I'm also sorry if it doesn't meet your expectations. We are all human, and as much as it seems like some of us are automatons, we are not. We are all capable of making mistakes, and I hope you can look through the ones I made for both this game and the awesome run I have provided for you. Thanks for watching! YouTube Poop: S**t TV
from YouTube :: Tag // modest July 01, 2008
Poison Darts Productions first-ever poop. For a first, we think we did pretty good (wow we're modest :P) In this, King Koopa (Bowser, already! GEEZ!) tries to trick people with his newly-invented S**t TV, and in doing so, explodes Mario and survives an explosion himself... somehow. We had a lot of fun doing this poop. Expect more in the future! This video was inspired by Deepercutt's The True Power of Rock TV so excuse some similarities. The song is Drop the Bass by Rocco. Favorite VGM 03 - Super Mario RPG - Shopping in Seaside Town
from YouTube :: Tag // shopping March 19, 2008
Well, I absolutely love Super Mario RPG and it's one of my favorite games of all time. I also think it has amazing music, so odds are I'll add a number of other songs from it later on. I couldn't fit the whole title of the song in the title of the video, so for whatever reference, the full name of the song is Going Shopping in Seaside Town. These are mostly going to be from games I've played myself, so if you have anything in mind that I don't have, feel free to suggest it, and hopefully I'll be able to get around to it eventually! Marking out with my friend...
from YouTube :: Tag // superbowl September 23, 2007
My friend, who I'll call "Tim", marks out for Brad Armstrong after he won some type of county fair title in Knoxville (I think it was August 4th 1995). "Tim" is the guy shaking Brad's hand at the end of the video (it's quick, so pay attention). In the interest of full disclosure, I marked out when we met Dan Severn earlier in the night. "Tim" gave me a lot of heat for that; unfortunately... Author: drdeity Keywords: mark wrestling kingsport tennessee knoxville superbowl smw johnson city Added: September 23, 2007
