CES 2008 Novatel U7272 USB EV-DO Card Interview and ReviewCES 2008 Novatel U7272 USB EV-DO Card Interview and Review
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta)

I am a big fan of Novatel USB EV-DO cards and was chomping at the bit to get a look at the new one that they have out. The new card is the U727 and what makes this USB EV-DO stick special is that not only does it have a antenna port that they are known for but you also no longer need to run through a splitter to run the USB device on two USB connections which an older model required. The next thing that makes this device nice is a port for 4gb memory card so the U727 can double as a memory device. For those on Sprint it also has a built in GPS which will allow you to use the card with mapping programs. Retails for $79.99 with a two year contract on either Sprint or Verizon. I personally like the slime design and new antenna configuration.

Slashdot 10th Anniversary PartySlashdot 10th Anniversary Party

October 23, 2007

There were Slashdot anniversary parties in many cities. This video was shot at the one held in St. Petersburg, Florida, specifically at Harvey's 4th Street Grill on the evening of October 21, 2007. 48 people registered, and 25 people showed up -- but they were the coolest and most interesting Slashdot users in the Tampa Bay area, so we had a great time AND had t-shirts for everyone and then some. I can hardly wait for the Slashdot *20th* anniversary party. It'll be even better than this one was!

2007-08 Featuring Pushstart Wagon. Find them on podshow.com The audio is much better on this show than the last. The only thing I had a hard time with was mother nature on Exios end. Seems the cicadas have a perfect pitch for his headset. All things considered, I think we will be dialed in by the next show. I will be experimenting with some VST plug ins the next two week and I think real time compresion may really help us out. Hopefully I can get that all tweaked by the next show. October 20, 2005

Rob CmdrTaco Malda and Jeff Hemos Bates joined us for the 24x7 film experiment, and an all around fun afternoon it was. You know them from Slashdot, or if you don't you should, Slashdot provide the geek community with an online venue for exchanging news and ideas. We did their shoot in Ann Arbor, the meat-space location of Slashdot filming over a laugh-till-it-hurts long lunch. They've know each other since middle school and as you might imagine with old friends the conversation flowed fast and furiously ricocheting from topic to topic. I won't disclose too much about the shoot here, you'll have to wait for the movie. One thing though, there was this damn uninvited house fly that showed up mid way through the shoot More...
