My musician friend and fellow sailor Julie Moffitt came out for a skydive and I had Derrick join me doing video for a 2-cam production.This is not your avarage tandem video -- the typical student video isn't nearly this elaborate. At the end of the video Julie says she's "ready to go again." She wasn't kidding, and suited up for a second jump that same day. Have you ever thought of throwing yourself off a cliff? This video clip has great base jumping stock footage of people who do it regularly. B.A.S.E. jumping categories include Buildings, Antennas, Spans and Earth. BASE jumpers leap and freefall from structures high enough to quickly deploy a single Ram Air canopy parachute before landing. With altitudes not as high as those in skydiving, the equipment and technique has to be perfect, as a collision with the cliff face or structure while the jumper falls towards earth will be fatal. BASE jumping is concidered more dangerous than skydiving from aircraft and is known as one of the most extreme sports. In many countries it is also illegal, therefore has an underground following.
