Tuesday July 8th marks a new era for Star Wars collectibles as 500 Star Wars fans will be able to purchase the first product from eFX Collectibles-the retouched version of Master Replicas' Stormtrooper Helmet. The mold is the same, the grill is a little cleaned up, and the base is totally different. Star Wars Action News has a hands on review of this product so you can make your final decision to whip out that credit card. Plus have you ever wished to have a vintage mint-on-card collection? If you've ever looked on eBay or at your local convention for vintage carded figures every so often you are faced with the question-is that a fake? Our vintage expert Kevin takes a look at professionally recarded vintage figures to give you the lowdown on this niche, sometimes mistakenly bought, collectible. Also this week we have plenty of news, from a review of the Wizard World con, a high-end item over 50% off hidden in the back of Toys R Us, discuss all the old items hanging out on the pegs and the few street-date breaking leaks of new toys. Because the new exclusive TIE Fighter "has got some red on ya" (to quote Shaun of the Dead). Yes, someone graffitied a big red garish Rebel symbol on the latest "big wing" TIE Fighter re-release, and they jacked up the price too, $53 at Entertainment Earth. Is this too much for the 4th release of this mold? Have we now got more TIE Fighters than the compliment of a Super Star Destroyer? Find out on this week's show! Still frothing at the mouth for new toys, the Star Wars Action News team gathered again this week to look at the upcoming July releases from Hasbro. After focusing on the vehicles last episode, this episode the group talks about the new figures of both The Legacy Collection and The Clone Wars toy lines. Which do the team want more, animated style or non? Will the animated figures sell to kids? And what is Hasbro trying to pull with sending e-mails saying figures won't go on clearance, only to be found on clearance days later? Also listen to find out where to get the 16th (and final?) Over at Amazon.com's Target store the Jungle Rancor (which is called the Battle Rancor on the box) is still in stock. Star Wars Action News ordered some and they were delivered this week. Will there be a rumble in the Felucian jungle, or are these battle-painted beasties best left on store shelves? We review the Rancor and his rider this week. Also this week, items are starting to show up in the new Clone Wars packing. Star Wars Action News staff member Kevin has found some at his local Target and he calls in with a report and some photos! With Scott From Tulsa reminding you of all the upcoming pre-orders, Nathan P. In this episode we learn that Mr. Biggs. . . Feels strongly about matching pipe and joint sizes. Extols the expertise of computer manufacturer-provided technical assistance workers. Has doubts about gender authenticity in the celebrity impersonation industry. Uses popular promotions to stimulate customer activity. Laments the flavor degradation of slightly over-cooked coffee. Questions the feasibility of keeping specialty beverage consumption accessories on hand. DOWNLOAD SHOW #0019 HERE A fictitious, small town radio call-in talk show. Mr. Biggs, a local bigshot business owner/character, helps callers with all kinds of problems. A simple concept, to be sure. But there's a fun little twist. Caller audio comes from real calls lifted from real talk radio shows. We remove the original host from the conversation, re-arrange the parts a bit, and insert Mr. Biggs as the new "host." The results are very seamless and comical, but not in ways you might think. We try not to go for easy laughs, but rather for a more subtle, nuanced, character-driven humor. The podcast is produced by a couple of audio nuts, so the sound quality of the show is as good as you'll hear anywhere. Very clean and realistic. The calls are integrated with great care and precision. In fact, listeners to the podcast often never realize that the calls have been taken from other un-related sources. As you well know, there's a lot of podcasts out there, but not a lot of originality. We think we're doing something unique.

The final five Saga Legends are an elusive bunch, perhaps because so many of them are "Shadow" troopers they stay well hidden. Despite their best attempts at camouflage Star Wars Action News spotted some this week. They review the figures chosen to be rereleased as well as their special coins. We also talk about the latest for Galactic Heroes packs to be released, with new Jedi and new clones! Also this week, Kevin brings us another vintage figure review. Which figure from your childhood is being discussed? Listen to find out. Chris Allison has performed with Ringling Bros. for 11 years. He is now working on a new character "Coney Island Chris" who is a self taught side show performer with lots to go wrong. Chris shares with us some history and mentors.
