I've had an idea to make a "group solo" - basically, a solo dance that a group of us made - and that could be done by any one of us, or anyone else. So that's what we've done - Sharon Estacio, Amy Larimer, Meredith Mandel, and I got together for a couple rehearsals in NYC in August and created a basic structure. Please use, discard, or rearrange material as you wish. There is no real beginning at this point, the ending is malleable too. We each are seen in this rehearsal video performing the sections we contribute; Sharon and I dance, as a duet, our two sections. I spliced the video between rehearsals together so you can see the approximate overlap. We used the song "Whipping Post" by the Allman Brothers - fantastic moving inspiration and just right for what we needed, but feel free to use any other music, or none at all.
