So anyway, I m planning to give away some software tonight. The Mac Bundle Box was given away, courtesy of my friend Christian. The Mac Bundle Box is 15 total Mac applications bundled together, for a cost of only $49.95. That is an amazing savings over buying each of them separately. Christian, Kat and I decided to run this contest a bit differently. All you had to do was reply to that blog post with a comment, telling us what your three favorite Mac Apps are, and why you love them. Of course, you also had to be present in chat to win. FearedBliss was the person chosen randomly from the people who commented in the blog. He s a regular chat member, which we always love to see happen! Congratulations, FearedBliss, and thanks for hanging out with us all the time! We re planning to do a software giveaway every week, so stay tuned! NC_2008_08_10 HP Mini-Note, MacAlly Shell, DNS Poisoning
from NosillaCast Mac Podcast August 10, 2008
My adventures helping my friends buy two MacBooks, in Dumb Question Corner we learn how to delete old podcasts, the meaning of the word shenanigans, and how to combine PDFs using Preview. Rose teaches how to take a screen capture on the iPhone and how to use MobileMe on IE6. I review the HP Mini-Note 2133, model KX868AT. More than you'd ever want to know about cables at Gizmodo.com, and how the MacAlly Protection Shell for MacBook saved George's MacBook from his cat. In Chit Chat Across the Pond we discuss the DNS poisoning problem a little bit more, then we debate whether Apple should cut apps from the app store on their whim, and we talk about Bart's first time on the Mac Roundtable.

NC_2008_08_03 Black Magic, MixCraft, Jing, Jiggler, DropBox
from NosillaCast Mac Podcast August 03, 2008
You have to hear about my vacation to Cancun but at least I include a description of the tech our little geek family brings along on vacation. Then in Dumb Question Corner we discuss how a large percentage of computing is simply black magic, Sam Caldwell of the windows2apples.com podcast tells us about Mixcraft from acoustica.com/mixcraft for Windows which he likes better than GarageBand. Jing from techsmith.com finally comes out of beta and it's still free! Jane from Perth tells us about a useful litle utility called Jiggler from sticksoftware.com, and Willie tells us about how he's getting great use out of DropBox from getdropbox.com. In Chit Chat Across the Pond Bart and I discuss how lax Apple has been at patching the DNS vulnerability that everyone else has already patched and why we should care - http://www.bartbusschots.ie/blog/?p=936
