John Edwards and Rielle Hunter "The Alleged Mistress"John Edwards and Rielle Hunter "The Alleged Mistress"
from YouTube :: Videos by zennie62
July 23, 2008

http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/07/john-edwards-and-rielle-hunter-alleged.html -- This is a new story that is based on one I covered last fall. Former U.S. Senator John Edwards, who was also being considered for the VP slot next to Senator Barack Obama, was found at an LA hotel by two National Enquirer reporters as Edwards was visting new mom Rielle Hunter. Edwards tried to elude the reporters and according to the Enquirer he did call hotel security. But the overall damage was done. In this video I talk about Edwards committment to the poor and how that should be allowed to remain in our thoughts about Edwards as he faces this tough issue. What I call for is us to "circle the wagons" and wish Edwards and his wife the best as they go through what has to be a terrible period. (News & Observer, June 19, 2008) "You only need to look at the kind of state Senator I've been for the last 10 years to see what kind of U.S. Senator I'll be." - Kay Hagan More at www.SayNayToKay.com.

Howard Fineman: The Thirteen American ArgumentsHoward Fineman: The Thirteen American Arguments
from We The People Stories
July 21, 2008

Howard Fineman, the highly respected political journalist, joins the National Constitution Center to discuss his absorbing new work of American history, journalism, and analysis "The Thirteen American Arguments." Fineman writes that every debate we have had in the political arena, from our founding to today, has evolved from one of these arguments. Though the conventional wisdom is that Americans argue too much, Fineman believes that just the opposite is true. Fineman finds many of these basic arguments are tied to the U.S. Constitution, from the Preamble being written in the name of “We the People,” to who determines what the law is. July 17, 2008

For the second time in about a week, the most powerful man in the State Senate is in Central New York. Senate Majority leader Dean Skelos was in Utica last week. On Thursday, he met with Herkimer County business and elected leaders at Herkimer County Community College. Skelos' home district is on Long Island, but he says that the things people care about are the same no matter where they live in New York State. Skelos says reviving the economy and creating good jobs are top on most New Yorkers' priority lists. He says that how you achieve that might be different in a rural county like Herkimer, than in other counties. "When I was walking in one gentleman said just stay focused on creating jobs that are, or bringing businesses that are 20-50 people that they employ, so I think that's what we have to look at what fits for the area that we're dealing with, Skelos said. Skelos is on a 'listening tour' of Upstate, trying to learn about the specific challenges that communities face.
