Balancing between I & Mine - Discourse & Meditation
from YouTube :: Tag // lifeblissfoundation July 14, 2008
From the works of Living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this clip taken from discourse titled, "From Known to Knowing" Swamiji says that Mahadeva is giving us a satya sankalpa through this technique for those who have an intense desire to go through the process. Swamiji describes this technique by Shiva to experience the Turiya state. The technique balances between I centered and Mine centeredness. This technique when practiced sincerely will allow stopping of the seer. Seer is awakened - seen and seer will disappear into seer. The complete discourse may be ordered on line or downloaded at www.lifeblissgalleria.com. 5-6 Edgar Cayce Followers -VS- Christianity
from YouTube :: Tag // virginia April 19, 2008
John Ankerberg Discusses the Claims of Edgar Cayce and the Beliefs of the Association for Research and Enlightenment. Edgar Cayce (March 18, 1877 -- January 3, 1945) was an American some repute as having had psychic abilities. He is claimed to have demonstrated an ability to channel answers to questions on subjects such as health, astrology, reincarnation, and Atlantis while in a self-induced trance. Although Cayce lived before the emergence of the New Age movement, he remains a major influence on its teachings. Cayce became an American celebrity towards the end of his life and the publicity given to his prophecies has overshadowed what to him were usually considered the more important parts of his work such as healing (the vast majority of his readings were given for people who were sick) and theology (Cayce being a lifelong, devout member of the Disciples of Christ). Skeptics challenge that Cayce demonstrated psychic abilities and conventional Christians also question his unorthodox answers on religious matters (such as reincarnation and Akashic records). He may have been the source for the idea that California would fall into the Pacific ocean (though he never said exactly this). Today there are tens of thousands of Cayce students. Most are located in the United States and Canada, but Edgar Cayce Centers are now found in 25 other countries. The Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), headquartered in Virginia Beach, is the major organization promoting interest in Cayce. 41: Week of 1/1/07
from Alphabet City Radio Podcast January 03, 2007
Well, it's a new year and a new show full of more New York bands plus an out of towner from L.A. Yes, L.A. still has some sort of a music scene even though Poison and Motley Crue have had their 15 minutes. Hope you all greeted the new year in style. I saw a great set of bands at Club Midway as reported on last week's show. Here's a sample of who's playing the scene this week and featured on this week's podcast... Wednesday, Jan. 3: The Sweet Ones hit The Delancey. They've got lots of energy. Great way to take a break from the week. Thursday, Jan. 4: Join Seer as they start their East Coast tour. They've got a harder, darker sound, pretty heavy on the bass. They play Arlene's Grocery, and are playing a few more shows in New York this weekend. Friday, Jan. 5: I listen to this band and feel like I should be at the beach. Vampire Weekend play Club Midway. Saturday, Jan. 6: The Hatch come in from L.A. to bring their pop rock tunes to Pianos. They start their residency this weekend, so check them out every Saturday this month. Got another song from the Bon Savants. I featured them on Show 34, CMJ week, and I saw thier album mentioned this week in one of our local free dailies, AM New York, which has a pretty good music section. I've also been hearing them a lot on Sirius lately, so I play a song in honor of their burgeoning fame. Go to podcastalley or itunes to subscribe to the show. e-mail Chad at alphabetcityradio@gmail.com
