The Kunsthalle D sseldorf is presenting a first comprehensive exhibition of the works of the artist Meuser (born in 1947). From 1968 - 1975 Meuser studied at the D sseldorf Academy of Art under Joseph Beuys and Erwin Heerich; he was a contemporary of Imi Knoebel, Martin Kippenberger, and Palermo, and took part in documenta IX. Leipzig is just an hour away from Berlin, so it's great that the Leipzig Gallery Tour opened just a day before the Gallery Weekend in Berlin. And it's very practical for the collectors. The weather was as nice as the Bratwurst and the beer (fresh from the Black Forest), the crowd was happy and the drivers of the VIP shuttle service looked like Mafiosi. The first gallery we visited at the Spinnerei was Galere Eigen + Art. Gerd Harry Lybke presented new works by a young German sculptor, Stella Hamberg (born 1975, lives and works in Berlin).
