Episode 224: Time to Celebrate

Episode 224: Time to Celebrate

from Star Wars Action News on December 07, 2009
Duration: 3477
Remember before Star Wars Episode I came out? How fans surfed the net for every scrap of information, every set pic? Freeze-framing the teaser trailer to figure out what was happening? Perhaps the biggest, longest Star Wars tease since Episode I was the oft-teased announcement of Star Wars Celebration V. And now, after what feels like eternity, the information has been revealed. Orlando. August. 4 Days. No one can be more excited than Arnie and Marjorie of Star Wars Action News, and on this week's episode they discuss this news. Also this week, we add an epilogue to our Star Wars Gift Holiday Guide. A few new items and bargains came to light this week and you can find out all about the deals in stores, online, and a special coupon for Hasbro toys on this week's show! With a review of Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil, talk about foreign book collecting, and a UK report where you can win rare Star Wars actors' autographs, it's all this and more on this week's podcast of Star Wars Action News!

Radio Free Skaro #171 - You'll Never Work In This Town Again

Radio Free Skaro #171 - You'll Never Work In This Town Again

from Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro on December 06, 2009
Duration: 5053
With the Three Who Rule reunited once more, and with the analytic powers of the Third Guy squarely aimed at schedules, Appreciation Indexes and other such numeric minutiae, a slow news week was transformed into quasi-random babble and buildup to the exciting segment you've all been waiting for....Douglas Camfield in the Miniscope. Praise for Camfield's prodigious output was universal if varying in intensity, but all three hosts agreed the man was a force for good (for the show) and bad (for Dudley Simpson's career.) Radio Free Skaro #170 - Back To Reality

Radio Free Skaro #170 - Back To Reality

from Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro on November 29, 2009
Duration: 3613
After an eventful few weeks of New Who and rampant podcest, the Three Who Rule (reduced to Two Who Adjudicate for this episode) settled down to news, shenanigans, and rampant avoiding of anything that could possibly be construed as a spoiler. But hope and glory came in the form of Malcolm Clarke, the first musician to grace the Miniscope (yes, itâs back, at least temporarily) and an underrated craftsman in the world of Classic Who. Synthesizers from 1972 and marching Cyberman themes ahoy! Check out the show notes at www.radiofreeskaro.com.

EP10: Alien Janitor Character Design

from recent posts tagged hulk - blip.tv (beta) on March 09, 2009
Duration: 1483
Today I had the tremendous honor of joining my friends Kevin Cross and Joshua Kemble as a guest on their podcast Big Illustration Party Time. The topic was character design so each of us did a 'homework assignment' before the episode where we had to design a hero. I came up with an alien janitor in cut-offs. I'll talk more about this later, but for now, here's a time-lapse screen capture of the entire painting process (below) to this post. This week or next, I will add a voiceover to the video and send it out on the podcast feed as an actual episode of Chris Oatley's ArtCast. But until then, you can just watch the video and enjoy some lovely music by Storybook Steve and Kangaralien. New blogs or podcasts at ChrisOatley.com EVERY MONDAY!
