"The Sentence of Death" a Sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com

"The Sentence of Death" a Sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com

from recent posts tagged grace - blip.tv (beta) on September 16, 2009
Duration: 3498
This sermon was preached by Pastor Nelson Turner of www.AV1611Reformation.com on the Lord's Day September 13, 2009 from the inspired word of God the AV1611 King James Bible for the edification of God's Elect and a witness of condemnation to the reprobate who deny that the Lord Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and is the Son of God who saves His people from their sins. All persons have an appointment with death. This is just for we are conceived in sin and by our sinful nature inherited from Adam and Eve we deserve death. Some, written in the Book of Life from before the foundation of the world, saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, are granted a dispensation by God, Who, doing as He pleases, grants them a reprieve through His Son from the curse and condemnation which otherwise would be upon them. These chosen are destined for eternal life. Others, despite their unconcern for for their fate after they pass from this life; having no regard for what happens after death, are destined to know the wrath of God, and to experience the second death, eternal punishment. In this world the Christian is a spectacle, a public show, before God, the angels, the lost and the saved. In the world to come, the damned will be a spectacle showing forth the perfect justice of God unto His glory as they forever burn without being consumed for their lack of faith in the revealed God and His word. Significantly, we must understand that our suffieciency is of God, and not of ourselves. God cares for us by His power not ours, and NOT by our following of rubrics. Nothing we can do of ourselves, by our will, makes us pleasing to God. "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). Only what God does in us can make us pleasing to Him. "This is the work of God that you believe on Him whom He hath sent." Our souls can only rightly boast in the Lord. In God we trust. He is a shield to those that put their trust in Him. As Christians we should understand that by our new birth in Christ we are a new creation. When we are tempted henceforth we know that when we are tempted in Christ we stand, whereas when we are tempted in the old man, which is from Adam and sin, we fall. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness..." (2 Peter 3:10-11). Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible used in this sermon include:1 Corinthians 4:9; 15:19/ John 11:20-32/ 2 Corinthians 1:8-12; 3:4-6/ Psalms 34:2; 91:2; 118:8-9; 115:3,11; 36:1-4/ Proverbs 29:25/ 1 Timothy 4:10/ Ephesians 6:16/ Phillipians 3:3/ Job 4:18; 15:15-16/ Isaiah 51:1-8

How To Lose Your Salvation

How To Lose Your Salvation

Originally a three part series which proves conclusively and unequivocally that once a man repents and trusts Christ to save him he will NEVER perish. Questions for those who hold to salvation maintenance: Where in the book of Acts does this doctrine appear and why wasn't it included in Acts 15:20,29? When do you tell a new convert about the "good news" that their salvation can be lost? This is a recent comment and is probably the main argument against eternal security. NarrowIsHisWay has made a comment on How To Lose Your Salvation: "DO NOT BE DECEIVED. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." Yet those who believe the heresy of eternal security will tell you that indeed such people will inherit the kingdom if they were saved once in the past. This is a doctrine of demons to make men think they are God's while still living wicked lives! Search Dan Corner to learn the truth! My reply: Why wasn't your doctrine mentioned in Acts 2 and 4 where 8,000 Jews were converted? Why wasn't your doctrine included in Acts 15:20,29 concerning converted Gentiles? Have you ever read Hebrews 12? What is the purpose of the judgment seat of Christ where good and evil done in the flesh by the child of God is exposed ? When by the grace of God, a child of God accumulates gold, silver and precious stones, and then loses salvation, dies and goes to hell, what becomes of those items? To acquire the free gift of God is plainly written for us in many places, but how to lose it is shrouded, and explained in nebulous (1. Cloudy, misty, or hazy. 2. Lacking definite form or limits; vague:) ways. When is a new convert told the "good news" of this impending doom? Finally, what does one do to obtain the "free Gift" again?
