Until the 19th of December 2009, Hauser rich presents an exhibition of new paintings on canvas and works on paper by Polish artist Wilhelm Sasnal. Works by Shirana Shahbazi and Wilhelm Sasnal are on display at the Swiss Institute / Contemporary Art in New York. Shirana Shahbahzi (born in Tehran in 1974) presents a selection of color photographs and a painting transcribed from one of her photographs by a team of Iranian artists. It s the largest exhibition of Shahbazi s work to date in the United States. Wilhelm Sasnal (born in Poland in 1972) presents a new 16-mm film which is based on found footage of several Elvis performances and of American outsider musician Daniel Johnston.
