He shows off PR1 and explains the goals of the Personal Robotics Program and the next generation, PR2.Via Stanford University Website: Kenneth Salisbury, a professor of Computer Science and of Surgery leads the Personal Robotics Program at Stanford with CS Assistant Professor Andrew Ng in coordination with the department's STAIR project. After about 18 months of work, they have developed a first prototype. It is remotely controlled now (eventually it will become more autonomous) but it is an early milestone on the way to releasing a practical, affordable and complete robotics platform. Here's another go at doing a video posting. This is using Microsoft Photo Story 3 and is a compilation of pictures of Salisbury town and cathedral. Erm, I'm not exactly noted for my religious faith and even for all the beauty I find in the likes of Buddhism and I can't overcome my great scepticism of the silly stuff like reincarnation. As for skyfairy religions like christianity, dohhhhhhhhhh! However Salisbury Cathedral is really nice and maybe it changed my mind - you-ll see.Ha, ha. Huge pompous building made by rich people emphasising height and hierarchy. What has that to do with what is beautiful in the words of that Christ bloke?
