Roa Bastos y las mujeres Marcos Tatijewski Publicada: 10/04/2008 En la Feria del Libro de 1997 tuve la oportunidad única, el honor inigualable, de realizar la primera y única cyber-entrevista con Augusto Roa Bastos, transmitida por Real Audio y con interacción de la gente por chat haciendo preguntas y comentarios. Fueron más de 2 horas de entrevista, más de 500 personas participando y preguntando on-line en Paraguay y en todo el mundo (Japón, España, EEUU, etc.). Como ya me habÃa pasado en otras oportunidades similares (como cuando visité el museo Picasso en Barcelona), recién al tener una experiencia personal directa con el maestro pude comprender su genialidad, y conocer su amor incondicional por las mujeres, probablemente la cosa que, según admitÃa Roa Bastos, más admiraba. Pero al haberle entrevistado, conversado por 2 horas sobre todo tipo de asunto y de tan cerca, descubrà un secreto de Don Augusto. Algo que, sin admitir, admiraba más que a las mujeres. Augusto Roa Bastos amaba a la inteligencia. Hoy, los bandidos-de-turno se pelean contra los aspirantes-a-bandidos, y usan la imagen del genio para fines apenas medio dedo abajo de la prostitución. Al menos, a las prostitutas se les paga, a Roa Bastos el partido que hoy abusa de su imagen jamás le invitó ni un café en vida, y no hizo más que frenar la expresión de su creatividad casi infinita. Augusto Roa Bastos querÃa una mujer en la Presidencia. Pero querÃa una mujer no solamente inteligente, preparada, llena de tÃtulos. Augusto Roa Bastos cambiarÃa esa mujer inteligente por una otra mujer ética sin pestañear. PreferirÃa una mujer que hubiese hecho mucho más por la Educación (y de rebote por la Literatura), que no se hubiese juntado con la escoria por puro ego, y que principalmente no usara la imagen de los muertos para pasarse de viva. Augusto Roa Bastos amaba a las mujeres, la inteligencia y la ética. Pero era un amor exigente: la mujer que Augusto amaba deberÃa ser los 3, ser mujer, inteligente, y ética. Por eso, si no fuera por el pequeño detalle de que está muerto, creo que Augusto Roa Bastos no votarÃa por Blanca Ovelar. Bueno, nunca se sabe, estar muerto no es impedimento para votar en Paraguay, ¿verdad?
