Great theater on the fringe! Partial Comfort Productions has struck comedic gold with their presentation of Open House, written by Ross Maxwell and directed by Josh Hecht. Now playing at the access theater -380 Broadway 4th fl. in lower Manhattan, you can catch this comedy about an upwardly mobile, metro sexual, narcissistic and neurotically motivated home selling couple, doing all they can to tone down their ultra conservative, militaristic, G.I. Joe next door neighbor with his overly opinionated, self-absorbed, war mongering groupie of a wife and a fifteen year old sexually enticing, blackmailer of son in order to have a chance to show their property for a quick sale. This would be enough material to generate laughs for two plays, but with the addition of Melanie, the super precocious, troublesome twelve year old with an imaginary friend that she has trouble keeping in check at times adds an over the top quality to the script that takes the play from just really funny to outright
