This is where you have a pedal that you record a chord progression (or percussion) and it plays it over and over (it loops it). More and more sophisticated technology has come out where you can have multiple parts that play on top of each other (with the ability to stop just one certain loop). The best part is if you live in an area where there are no other musicians, you can go out and play LIVE with a few pieces of technology. K.T. Tunstall has a JamMan check her out in this video doing her hit Black Horse and a Cherry Tree. You can see Musicians Cooler Friend Norman Lamont s set up. He is using a Roland GK20 guitar synthesizer that ends up going into a Boss Loop Station. He picked this gear becuase of the price, and the pickup that attaches for the guitar synth goes on with glue (nothing permanent). He recommends a website called Looper Delight where you can read reviews of looping tools and hear some great performers. Ray Confer Acidic Loops Ray Confer is playing second life, and being asked to open for other bands using just a few peddles. His first is the digitech GNX4 This has the digitech jamman with it, and it has lots of emulators (which comes in handy when you want to throw down a bass. You also have some drum loops on this unit. Ray is a big fan of www.reverbnation.com where he uses it for the fan list (email list), and it has some great features. He also uses www.blastmymusic.com which allows him to put a wdiget on different websites to sell your music. Ray first got into looping using the boss RC-20, but has recently upgraded to RC-50. Add - without the quotes - to hear this in stereo and watch in Hi Definition. This video came about as a result of a developing friendship between myself and the Duke (yogaduke) - for me this represents everything that is good about friendship, talent and the community spirit to be found in the YouTube Global Village. The video element was captured by Duke on Independence Day 2008 at Austin Texas in the United States of America. It was filmed using a Canon HV30 mounted on tripod and edited with Pinnacle version 12. The video footage was previously released by Duke here on YouTube and also on vimeo. This is some of the best footage I've ever seen of a firework display and Duke has made an excellent job of editing the film. The soundtrack was composed and performed by myself and was previously released on this channel under the name Trance . Duke very kindly suggested this joint venture and used his remarkable skills to make this delightful video for your enjoyment. I watched this in a darkened room with the sound turned right up and I was thrilled with the result. Duke has given this tune a new lease of life and I hope that you will all enjoy the result. The music was recorded with a Patrick Eggle Berlin Standard (customised by Jonah UK) being played thru' a Roland BossGT5 Guitar Effects Processor. No other instruments were used and the guitar is not a Midi instrument. The signal was fed straight into the PC and recorded using Sonic Foundry SoundForge 6.0d (now Sony). Sorry for the shitty quality, there's no better options. 6/July/2008. This is by FAR the best game of tennis I've ever watched, and one of the best sports matches EVER. The significance of winning the most important Grand Slam wasn't all of it, as Federer was aiming to break Borg's record of 5 straight championships in the All England Club, as well as tying Renshaw's 6 straight championships (though those were easier to get back in the 1800's). Nadal in the other hand was aiming to win his first Grand Slam outside of Roland Garros, and start solidifying as the greatest thing in tennis right now. First set: Nadal starts controlling Federer and breaks him early to hold on 6-4. Second set: Federer breaks Nadal early and finds himself 4-2 on top, but Nadal fights back and breaks Federer twice to take the set 6-4. Third set: All the pressure was now on Federer, who had never recovered from a two-set deficit in Wimbledon. At 5-4 in favor of Federer, the game was delayed more than an hour because of rain, and after returning, Federer won a tiebreaker to make it 7-6 in the third. Fourth set: Nadal was starting to feel the pressure, and again, in a tiebreaker, Federer fought off after falling 5-2 to win 10-8, one of the craziest tiebreakers I've ever seen. Fifth set: Everything seemed like Federer would get his sixth straight crown, and at 2-2 the rain delayed the game again. Coming back, they continued to defend their service with ease, and went on to 7-7. Nadal finally broke Federer's service and after adding a little suspense with a deuce in the next game, he managed to pull it out and win 9-7 the fifth set and the match. So in the end the score was 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7. This was the longest Wimbledon final ever, taking 4 hours and 48 minutes to finish, plus more than two hours of rain delays, taking into account the delay before the game, for a total of over 7 hours of intrigue. Nadal is now the champion, and first since Borg in 1980 to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year. Now there's an open road ahead for Nadal to become number one, a new seed has been planted at Wimbledon's sacred grass....
