Robert provides a feeble justification for his addiction to coffee by referencing Peter Rabinovitch work on aging in mice. (Incidentally, the May 5, 2005 New Scientist article is worth a read. Rabinovitch's team genetically engineered mice to produce a high level of free radical absorbing catalase in cellular mitochondria. The work provides support for the free radical theory of aging, and suggests that a pill could be used to the same end.)
