Car Rental Tip #5 - Upgrade
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) May 21, 2008
travelwishtv.com Often times, rental car companies will offer free or small fee upgrades to larger vehicles. They do this mainly because compacts tend to be in high demand. This sort of upgrade may seem like a great deal and is often hard to turn down. But if you have no real need for the extra space, it's cheaper to decline. Car Rental Tip #4 - Beware Of Hidden Fees
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) May 21, 2008
travelwishtv.com Lisel Hlista here for TravelWishtv.com with your car rental travel tip. Beware of hidden fees and taxes. Make sure to return your rental car with the same amount of gas that was in it when you left. The rental company keeps track of this and if you think gas is expensive now wait until you see what the rental company will charge your credit card per gallon. Also stay away from renting at an airport if you can. Often times an additional airport fee in excess of $10 per day can be tacked unto your bill. Texas airports were the chief offenders, but airports in states like Arizona, Ohio, Maryland, Missouri and New Mexico also cost renters more in taxes and fees. Another hidden fee is the excess taxes in addition to the sales tax such as the licensing fees, arena fees, mileage fees, or other confusing fees. Renter beware if you see any rates below $20 per day. These rates are too good to be true and are often loaded with hidden taxes. This has been Lisel Hlista for travelwishtv.com with yet another travel tip. Thanks for watching.
