From : KXMB CBS Bismarck North D<br />We begin with the environment...in the fight aganist Global Warming, are biofuelsfuels most commonly dervied from plantsthe answer? One group who was in Bismarck today says yesand no. The Dakota Resource Council and the Homegrown Prosperity Renewable Energy Tour is in Bismarck offering solutions to the problems with biofuel production. This 7-state tour promotes renewable fuels, energy efficiency and local foods. And the green bus they travel in runs on 100 percent biofuel. They're also introducing a Biofuels Plant Report Card. The tool is to help identify what types of plants and products are the most sustainable...and contribute the most to community well-being. (Gene Wirtz / Biofuels Task Force Member) Use our score card and if a new plant is going to be developed in your area, look at what we have come up with and say and judge for yourself whether you think this is the best way to go because there are better plants to be made, better fuels to be utilized. And will this benefit your local economy? Wirtz says we should look at using more Canola and sunflower oil.
