The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess music Midna's Lament Played during the part of the game when Midna is in desperate need of help. The first post of the following thread brings up some great points about the name of the song being called Lament : http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22322 This theme is known by many names, including Midna's Desperate Hour and Midna's Desperation , among others, but the official proof we have from Nintendo is the song being titled Midna's Lament in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Unfortunately, Nintendo have not released an official soundtrack for Twilight Princess that contains the song. Despite all the soundtrack game rips which claim to be official - they are not. The closest official soundtrack for TP we have is a CD containing around 7 tracks that came free with the US magazine Nintendo Power. The song playing now is not on that CD, meaning the closest official TP soundtrack in the world doesn't confirm the real name of the track at all. All track names from the game have been appropriately named by fans, including the track playing now. But we finally got an official name when Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. Brawl - that name being Midna's Lament . The version of the song in SSBB is not the exact same version that is played in Twilight Princess itself. It is an alteration. A variation. But alterations or variations do not normally get name changes. Look at the amount of alternate tracks in SSBB from other video games - they did not get new track names. Metal Gear Solid 4's Theme of Love was still called Theme of Love in SSBB. A Link to the Past's The Dark World was still called The Dark World in SSBB. Even if Nintendo never had an official name for Midna's distress song in TP, they gave it one when it came to including it in SSBB. People keep saying in SSBB it's Lament and in TP it's Desperate Hour , but they never have any proof. Where in the game of TP does it say the name of the song? Where is the official soundtrack that has the name of the song? It's not titled in the game, and there isn't an official soundtrack with the song. Therefore, there is no proof of its name. Until Nintendo of Japan produces an official soundtrack that contains this song, it will always be officially known as Midna's Lament by Nintendo themselves. Regardless of the name and OST situation, please enjoy this great piece of music!
