Eva Amaral y Juan Aguirre acaban de finiquitar dos años de gira de forma triunfal, con cinco noches de lleno en el Circo Price madrileño. Pero el trabajo sigue y, en pocos días, Amaral embarcarán con destino Cono Sur para actuar en Argentina y Chile. Luego, vuelta a casa, maleta nueva y primeras incursiones europeas. Después, retiro durante una temporada para componer, ensayar y grabar su sexto disco de estudio. También para disfrutar un poco de la vida, que no todo va a ser currelo. Antes de que todo eso suceda –y en previsión de una agenda más asfixiante que apretada– Juan sacó tiempo de debajo de las piedras para cumplir con la palabra dada. The 'trio' band is three guys who are all actually in one family; The Coty Brothers Bill, Dan, and Charles. The 2004 / 2005 era album is dominated by great songwriting. It would appear that the band is heavily into Rush but there really are just two or three songs that heavily go in that direct. The rest of the album for the most part dwells in an "Original" sound that sometimes seems to pay homage to the Fixx and the Police. The twangy Rickenbaucker bass playing is quite evident as is the effect's laiden guitars. The great lead vocals and lyrics come with quite a serious natured aura. There is a cover version of Simon and Garfunkel's "Sounds of Silence" that is quite good and could be helpful to today's audience who seek out melody and knowledge about classic rock and songwriting....though more knowledgable listeners may not need it as much but can appreciate it. The hillariously good and out of place "Til we say Goodbye" is a sneaky sleeper hit that is a bit unusual for Reverse and belongs on the radio. "The Same Path" might be the best piece on the cd as it is just good ol' fashioned melodic music with good words and "The Longer Now" might be the best of Reverse's "Major" tracks. The indie outfit will perform at the event alongside Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Band of Skulls followed by a Q&A with several cast members, including teen heartthrobs Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Jamie Campbell Bower. In short, it's going to be a mob scene. "They expect thousands of people. It's going to be interesting," says Alex Brown Church, who records as Sea Wolf. Church's song, 'The Violet Hour,' is featured on the recently released movie soundtrack alongside impressive indie artists like Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Death Cab For Cutie and Grizzly Bear. The moody melodic song wasn't written especially for the film -- it was actually recorded during summer 2008, when Church was creating his second album, the September-released 'White Water, White Bloom.'
