A Detroit quintet will be performing in Traverse City next month, as part of a leadership program. Jeff Haas and his nationally-acclaimed quintet will offer a live, 90-minute performance on February 5. The performance is open to the public and will include live music and "engaging commentary" about diversity, in music, the workplace, and the community as a whole. The performance will be held at the City Opera House at 7pm on the Fifth, and will be followed by an "after glow" featuring a variety of local wines. 06/03/08 Part of their first American tour. The quality of this video is very poor as it was recorded by my cellphone and not my camera and I was lucky to get even this as filming was forbidden for the reason that they did not want people to profit from selling vids. Though with quality like this I highly doubt anyone will be making profit from my video aside from myspace lol. I decided to post it for history's sake as I have not seen anything released from this tour. I don't quite agree with the no cameras policy that most of the bands have had. Like with anime and manga it is the posting of media that they have become so popular outside of Japan.. But anyways~. As a fan of Kamijo and Hizaki I had to make the long trip to see them live. To be in the presence of individuals such as this meant a lot to me. I arrived a bit late but thankfully it was a long performance. The place was sold out and packed to the walls. Daniel spotted me upon entering - Hina was somewhere up front. I spotted a good spot on the second floor and went for it. The band looked and sounded just as good in person. Actually I think they sounded better live. Again it felt surreal to finally see these visual kei legends in person. After the performance the staff rushed everyone out and I met up with the others outside. We waited out back hoping to meet them as they came out. It was quite a wait but eventually they did come out. The venue apparently was upset that things ran so late so the band wasn't really in the mood to meet fans and Kamijo was hiding lol, but they agreed to sign Hina's Cure mag as the street team gave us the evil eye.. :P Teru didn't seem to mind he was very friendly. It was a beautiful night and the start of another adventure. History would repeat again.., more would be revealed, and new lessons learned.www.myspace.com/versaillesjp
