3of8 Neo 1 Step Alignment "Postural Alignment" (audio off sync)

from Health - recent posts - blip.tv (beta) on November 10, 2009
Duration: 1516
each session begins w "Conscious Breathing" and ends with "Awakened Mind" www.neo1step.com Postural Alignment: Floating Pelvis that is, there is always a starting position - followed by fluid action - and an eventual return back to center. The objective is to aid in the healing of the psyche and to bring about wholeness. The program will help even your mind using your body as a portal. Your mind and your body are cooperative partners as you perform the sequences of postures, drills, maneuvers and stunts. The more present you are in every breath and in every action, the more truthful the moment becomes. Pain is offset by presence. You will experience maximized breathing, posture and structural alignment, hence increased efficiency in your lines of motion. When you dramatically improve yourself at your very core, you create optimal conditions to re-examine yourself to the foundation of your being.

Cultivating Energy with Qi Gong

Cultivating Energy with Qi Gong

from me on blip.tv (beta) on April 02, 2007
Duration: 195
I've been practicing Qi Gong for the past three years and I've found that these simple movements have had a profound impact on my health and well-being. Qi Gong affects the body's flow of energy and comes from the Taoist and Buddhist traditions, Chinese Medicine and Martial Arts practice. Chinese Medicine holds a reverence for the spiritual interconnection of all life and bases its approach to health and well-being on a holisitic understanding of the body. It tries to develop balance through preventive care and living in accord with the cycles of nature. Qi gong practice consists of cultivating chi (vital energy) by coordinating breathing patterns with physical postures and motions that integrate the upper and lower body. This practice breaks down energetic blocks to the free flow of chi throughout the body. I'm currently taking a class in Chinese Medicine to better understand these profound ancient healing practices. If you're interested in learning more about chinese medicine the book for the class is called "Between Heaven and Earth." Mark Mckenna teaches QiGong on Tuesday mornings at the Circle Center in Fairfax, CA. His teacher is Fongha of the Integral Ch'aun Institute. This is our first post for Videoblogging Week 2007.
