BEWITCHED, KING DAVID, JEZEBEL, STAND UNDER and more. Pastor Peters has been delivering a series on the Jezebel spirit from the pulpit of the LaPorte Church of Christ for several weeks now. The following is an email from an Acre of Diamonds man giving insight on the subject of Jezebel. 2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said unto David, Jehovah also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. I then pointed out that even though David had repented and was spared there were still consequences. 2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. 2 Samuel 12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. His house, his seed suffered because of his sin. These women have put their seed in jeopardy by their rebellion. Also within the story of David and Bathsheba is the story of Jezebel. There is no account of Bathsheba saying, no, no, I am a married woman . She seems to be complicit and accommodating to David s sin. Was she rebellious herself to begin with? Secondly, I was to have my wife look up the word despise in the dictionary. I had no idea that that word despise was the very word the Lord used against David. 2 Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. 2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Webster s Dictionary Despise: 1. to look down on with contempt or aversion 2. to regard as negligible, worthless, or distasteful I pointed out that ignoring God s word was regarding Him and His Word as worthless. Ignoring your husband s word is regarding not only your husband as worthless but also God because it is in direct rebellion to His command. I have been pointing out to her that God had said that there is something else that she needed to handle. She would consistently and often angrily proclaim that there wasn t. It took a day but she confessed she had resentment towards me; that fits with despised. Resentment and despite are just forms of judgment that she knows better or would have done better. Michal, Saul s daughter despised, resented, i.e. judged David, and look at her seed; she never had any. 2 Samuel 6:16 And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart. There is no way a man can rule over and lead a home with resentment, with despite as a foundation. Women resent Gods decree. and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. A woman s relationship to God can be no better than her relationship to her husband. I have pondered that this punishment wasn t for Eve but for Adam. Was that desire a desire to rule in her husband s stead? Was that the consequences or Adams part in the garden sin? Was that desire a desire to rule in her husband s stead? Was that the consequences or Adams part in the garden sin? I am becoming more and more of the opinion that your Jezebel series has the Isaiah anointing attached to it. Most will not listen but the Lord can say that they ve been told before they are cast out the window. They must die either to themselves for Christ or die themselves because of their rebellion against Christ. Our men simply cannot move forward with their mission from the Lord until the Jezebel, and disorder in the home is handled. It puts the men and the children in terrible, terrible danger. Also, I saw one of their tricks of rebellion very clearly. It goes like this: With tears she is weeping and saying I don t get it. I don t understand, I don t see it, are you sure? Are you sure it s me and not you? It can t be me, I don t understand, I do this and that .. on and on. She is never willing to come to the understanding of the truth. The woman is not aware of it on the surface. She thinks it s her thoughts, her true feelings but it s not. It s her manipulated feelings and thoughts. She can t tell the truth from a lie and actually believes the lie is true. There must first be that willingness in the recesses of the heart to come into order no matter what it looks or feels like to them. Their feelings cannot be trusted because it s based on faulty information or lies. Secondly the mind must be willing to say this is God s Word and I will follow it period. Their feelings are a ploy, a misdirection to cover up their rebellion, just to hang on for a little longer. It s like painting your face and going to the window for all to see your beauty. They can understand if they choose to, it s a choice. It s a simple choice. I am or I am not going to be in order under my husband. At that point God will do wonders to work it out. They simply do not trust that God will work it out for the good. They don t believe his Word or they do not want to believe His Word but choose to be rebellious. A person, man or woman, cannot come into order by understanding. You come into understanding by coming into order first. A simple way to look at it is, I won t or I will stand under your authority. Therefore, when you come into proper order you stand under or you understand. God will give you understanding when you are willing to stand under Him.
