Sources in Gaza sent conflicting reports, some saying the decision to call the ceasefire was made late Sunday night, and others claiming it did not go into effect until five o'clock Monday evening. Monday afternoon reports of Palestinian projectiles launched at the Israeli Kissufim Military base in the southern Gaza Strip as well as Israeli airstrikes on Palestinian targets east of Gaza city put early announcements of the 24-hour truce in doubt. An Islamic Jihad leader said that he approved the 24-hour ceasefire for the sake of Gaza and people's lives. Kenya election violence President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga have signed the agreement which starts the process of establishing a local tribunal to try post-election violence suspects. President Kibaki and Odinga managed to avoid having the suspects in Justice Waki's secret list tried by the International Criminal Court at The Hague.They now have 45 days to put in place all laws to set up the tribunal. When the tribunal is set up, Cabinet ministers named in Waki's envelope will be suspended immediately after they are charged. The President and the PM have committed themselves to setting up a tribunal to prosecute post-election violence suspects, instead of the list going to The Hague. US Congressman makes Hajj There was no press release when Keith Ellison made pilgrimage to Muslim city of Mecca last week.
