This camera has features including a 10.0 Megapixel, 1/2.3-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 3x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses new compact, high capacity Battery Pack NB-6L to shoot up to approx. 300 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via Hi-Speed USB.

Some Video Clips and Pictures from Tara's birthday at Islands in the marina. Making of: I used iMovie HD 6 instead of the new iMovie '08 because the older version of iMovie offers more features used in higher level production editing. Although no where close to the versatility and professionalism of Final Cut Pro and the such, iMovie HD 6 has more to offer than the newer iMovie '08. iMovie '08 is a great platform to use for editing as well, as seen in "Sayonara Daisuke", especially for speed and functionalyity.This video took me about 5 hours to edit. Equipment used: [mini Canon PowerShot SX100 IS review] Both the video and the pictures were taken by a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS 8.0 mp. Pictures turn out great with flash in the low light. Video in the low light is not the best but when there is good lighting the video quality is excellent. My other video "Sayonara Daisuke" was made with the same camera with good lighting resulting in great picture quality. As for the low light atmosphere of an Islands restaurant there can be improvements made there. A collection of videos taken along the drive around the east shore of lake tahoe. These were taken with the Canon Powershot TX1.

We filmed some skiing on the black run called the Challenger. This run is on the backside of Northstar at Lake Tahoe.The TX1 is one of the best hybrids currently available. I have found it to be a great didigtal camera, but skiing videos really push it to the limits. You can see chromatic bleeding above the bright snow that results in reddish tinting. You can also see the focus hunting in this particular video.On the positive side, when compared to the Aiptek A-HD, the image stabilization and the zoom features really play a roll in making this shot look good.
