Steve cautions the community against seeking after the Pentecost experience not accompanied by Pentecost action and meaning in community, and reminds us that a chief purpose of the Spirit is to empower us to live into His kingdom agenda.

Steve challenges the smallness of our understanding of the kingdom of God as "Christian ghetto" in light of a post-resurrection world, and calls us to take the kingdom message to the "streets"!

Steve urges us to be agents of the process of renewal that began with Christ's resurrection; to concern ourselves with the renewal of all creation, not merely so-called spiritual renewal.
