GAIUS THE SUGAR GLIDER " THE AMAZING GAIUS " 10/2009

Some of the coolest footage of my little buddy I have shot. It is difficult to get quality footage of Gaius for a couple reasons. First, Sugargliders are nocturnal and they do not like a lot of light. If I light the room , he stops playing and wants to find cover. I can shoot him during the day with a good camera, but he will be lethargic. When I use a large shoulder mounted camera, he either runs from it, or wants to investigate it so he ends up on the lens but not in front of it. So..I have resorted to using a small digital still camera that also shoots video..One of these days I'll take the time to figure out a better way, but for now, the digi still cam is best for capturing Gaius in his normal behavior.

It was Sunday and it had been a beautiful day up until about 3.45pm. I had been chatting and drinking with the lads back-stage at lunch time. They were due on stage at 4pm. Suddenly the heavens opened and rain cascaded down as it can only do at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Didn't stop them Rabit Dancing; or Possum dancing or even Chicken dancing come to that!
