True Story, Written By A.H., Produced by Saint Paul
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) May 15, 2008
Based on a true story, hence the name, this song tells the urban street tale of where the drug game will get you--pretty much nowhere. Sure the money might seem good at first, but sooner or later you'll have some type of problem to deal with, as the author mentions - Jail or death. The lyrics are available for you to read below: It's a true story It's a true story It's a true story It's a true story People think they hard as nails, till they hauled off to jail Now they chillin in a box by themselves in a cell Just because they made a sale, now they livin in a world Where it's only hate, it's to late to try to make it well Can't get a fortune, instead kids orphans Nobody to support em, living more torture Than they thought they're daddy caused em Not around to boss em, it's hard for them blossem-or get real far. Stomach start hurtin, you think you might starve Times with out ya parents it's gone get real hard Now you know the game trying to hit you real hard And leave you with a scar, you end up behind bars Ain't no lookin at no stars, in the game you try to eat And end up gettin starved, you know that live is hard This a true story gettin caught in the game You either goto jail or it's gone witcha brains. This a true story gettin caught in the game You either goto jail or it's gone witcha brains. Now let me tell ya bout my man on the block Had his hands on some rock ended up gettin shot People want that money and this envy won't stop Runnin from behind, put some holes in your top And some holes in your spine, now my man died You know I had to cry, then I told his moms Tears fell like bombs, she told me not to whine "These fools not in school, try not to pay em mind They not your real friends, they only want your shine They only want your money", try to take me for what's mine Instead they get a rhyme, tellin them to grind, How things get real and real-er all the time I said I'm spittin this for my man and his mom Every track I get on I try to make it bomb I try to make you listen, I try to get your mind And this is how it goes, every single time People get in the game and don't know bout the grind End up finding something that they don't want to find. This a true story gettin caught in the game You either goto jail or it's gone witcha brains. This a true story gettin caught in the game You either goto jail or it's gone witcha brains. It's a true story....
