Watermark...
from Vimeo / Recent Public Videos July 24, 2008
Moments fleeting grasp, Set apart by our Dreams, As grains of sand at surf's edge, Temporal foot prints fading. **** What trace we bequeath, What vestige bestowed, Over each shoulder glance, Yet forward lay our path. **** Each from adolescent beginnings, Ignorant of our Transgressions, In time, choice ours to acquiesce, Election of course our plentiful menu. **** Hail human watermarks high and low, Cleave to spirit's wane, Above all remember Love, Before and after life's end, Hail Love's Watermark in warm embrace. A SONG OF PRAISE
from YouTube :: Tag // thanksgiving July 24, 2008
Thy love, dear Father! and your tender care Have in my heart made a strong desire To celebrate your name with praises rare, That others, too, your goodness may admire, And learn to yield to what you do require. Many have been the trials of my mind, My exercises great, great my distress; Full oft my ruin has my foe designed; My sorrows then my pen cannot express, Nor could the best of men afford redress. When thus beset to you I lift mine eye, And with a mournful heart my moan do make. How oft with eyes overflowing did I cry, My God, my God, oh do not me forsake, Regard my tears, some pity on me take! And to the glory of your holy name, eternal God! whom I both love and fear, I hereby do declare I never came Before your throne, and found you loath to hear, But always ready with an open ear. And though sometimes though seems your face to hide, As one that had withdrawn your love from me, 'Tis that my faith may to the full be tried, And that I thereby may the better see How weak I am, when not upheld by you. For underneath your holy arm I feel, Encompassing with strength as with a wall, That if the enemy trip up my heel, You ready are to save me from a fall. To you belong thanksgivings over all! And for your tender love, my God, my King, My heart shall magnify you all my days; My tongue of your renown shall daily sing; My pen shall also grateful trophies raise, As monuments to your eternal praise. ---Thomas Ellwood (Early Quaker) Author: themistoklisp Keywords: Quaker Christian Poem Thomas Ellwood SONG OF PRAISE Added: July 24, 2008

Nothing Gold Can Stay
from Poem of The Day July 24, 2008
Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost "Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf, So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay."

Thai Ta poetry: Once Again / Wordless Truth
from YouTube :: Tag // lost July 23, 2008
april 2008 / wordless truth / thai ta And so you've come to me at last not while I was still hurt, humiliated, confused, angry not while I kept jumping back and forth future, present, past. You've come to me no apology, no poetry it was one of those moments when words are unnecessary indeed, detrimental to both those who gives and receives. Wordless truth (I heard that term somewhere) wordless truth coupled with perfect timing. There you were pressing your lips against mine no french kiss, mind you strange that it's not a french kiss, and strange that the pressure feels... real and surreal. Then you kissed the top of my head like I was a child I felt the warmth, moisture of your kiss a wet sunlight Wordless truth perfect timing perfect ending to our story at last. At last I woke up it was one of those moments when you feel disoriented a bit lost a lot blessed could've been a nightmare could've been a wet dream or a visitation from an angel but thankfully, magically, it was simply a gift. //////////////////////////////////////////////// april 2008 / once again / thai ta Come fall with me Once again Let the fire consume us Till we end Let's turn into stuff of tragic comedy (Comic tragedy?) An urban legend A modern version of Cinderella Where nothing fits, not even her glass slipper Yet when they kiss When we kiss How our lips fit! How our hearts break! In sweetest silence. Come fall with me Let's die, like Juliet and her foolish Romeo We know how this must end Where nothing fits nowhere, no how But when we make love Our sweat thick Our souls burn till we cry out And our tears mix Who will say it first this time, I wonder "I love you" "Goodbye" Or "Until we meet..." "...Once again." Author: thai2468 Keywords: thai ta poetry poem Added: July 23, 2008

If, Read by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal
from YouTube :: Tag // Wimbledon July 17, 2008
Rudyard Kipling's great poem 'If' is read by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal before the 2008 Wimbledon final. Accompanied by 'The Destiny Theme' from the film - 'Elizabeth : The Golden Age' If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you But make allowance for their doubting too, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream--and not make dreams your master, If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much, If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son! --Rudyard Kipling NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT INTENDED Author: oliver756376 Keywords: if poem roger federer rafael nadal wimbledon final 2008 bbc tennis djokovic safin sharapova ivanovic williams zheng Added: July 17, 2008
