O vídeo mostra que o Fiat Stilo preto onde estavam os criminosos passa em alta velocidade pela Rua General Espírito Santo Cardoso. No sinal, o carro chega a bater em outros veículos para conseguir escapar. Em seguida, a funcionária pública federal Alessandra Amorim Soares, 35 anos, pára o carro do lado esquerdo. Metralharam o carro com uma mulher e duas crianças dentro, uma criança de nove meses e outra de quatro anos, sendo que essa criança de quatro tomou um tiro na cabeça e está morta lá em cima, não tem uma chance! , dizia Paulo Roberto. A família estava a menos de cem metros de casa, na Rua Garibaldi. Alessandra tinha deixado a mãe em Vila Isabel. João Roberto estava no banco de trás do Palio, assim como o irmão, sentado numa cadeira para bebês. Policiais que chegaram em reforço socorreram o menino e Alessandra, que ficou ferida por estilhaços em uma das pernas, na barriga e nas costas. Vinícius nada sofreu, mas ficou com a roupa e o cabelo cheio de cacos de vidro. Na confusão, a mãe deixou o bebê com moradores da rua. Alessandra, a caminho do hospital, avisou ao marido. Ele não estava chorando, mas estava muito assustado. Minha mulher limpou a roupa dele, até que o pai chegou aos gritos, perguntando pelo outro filho , contou o morador, de 57 anos, que cuidou do bebê.
