Use the Zoom-In Zoom-Out Method for the Most Empowering Perspective
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) June 17, 2008
Zoom in and Out, or engaged but detached. When you zoom in you engage life, live it fully and appreciate the moment. Appreciating all the good that exists in your life right now is an excellent way to zoom in. But you don't have to remain engaged when you suffer a loss, an insult or other types of challenges that throw you off balance, in other words you don't have to stand in the fire and feel the pain of being inside an Ego / personality. There are times, especially when you are shocked or knocked off balance when you are more empowered by zooming out and observing life from a great distance. Thinking about the temporariness of this life and the inevitable death of this identity is a great way to zoom out. By having both the tools to engage life and detach from it - you will have the ability to choose your most empowering perspective in any given moment. The Zoom In and Zoom out method works because you are awareness and through the power of perspective you choose where your energy of awareness moves and what it experiences. OAS 150 The Soul Genome with Paul Von Ward Part 2
from Omni Art Salon 21st Century Art Podcast April 22, 2008
Jeffrey has a fascinating conversation with Independent Scholar and Interdisciplinary Cosmologist Paul Von Ward. Paul s groundbreaking work synthesizes the disciplines of philosophy, the physical and natural sciences, consciousness studies, psychology, and prehistory. He focuses on new research that illuminates the emerging new story of the universe and its planets, and the history of Homosapiens. He seeks to understand the human legacy of perennial wisdom and natural science. His books, articles, lectures, and workshops help individuals identify the outer boundaries of human potential, including the use of our subtle senses that access inner ways of knowing, to better understand and participate in the co-creation of universal reality. Paul lectures in the U.S. and abroad, speaking at professional conferences and meetings including the World Future Society, Association for Humanistic Psychology, International Conference on Science and Consciousness, University of Science and Philosophy, and the Spiritual Science Fellowship, Whole Life Expos, The Institute of Noetic Sciences, and The Mutual UFO Network, The Theosophical Society, Unity, Science of Mind, Religious Science, Unitarian, and The World Council of Churches, various colleges and universities, and radio and TV talk shows He professionally traveled to one hundred countries as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, and as founder and CEO of Delphi International. He speaks Spanish and French, and reads other languages. Paul also was trained in clinical psychology, started his professional career as a Protestant minister, and devoted three decades to public service as a naval officer, diplomat, and nonprofit leader. Paul s book, Gods, Genes, gods in Western Civilization. It also explores the psychological impact of this history on modern human consciousness. Our Solarian Legacy: Multidimensional Humans in a Self-Learning Universe (published 2001) places the forgotten and suppressed human legacy in the context of a universe created to experience its own potential and evolve in a self-conscious manner. His 1998 book, Solarian Legacy: Metascience s column, Global Perspective, was a regular feature of the newspaper, Washington International. His column, Frontier Science/Social Change, appears in magazines and newspapers across the U.S. and overseas. His articles also appear in professional journals including the Association for Humanistic Psychology s Perspective, and the University of Science and Philosophy s Quarterly. He has produced educational television programs, videos and audio tapes in the area of frontier science. Paul s graduate degrees in public administration and psychology are from Harvard University (MPA in 1974) and Florida State University (MS in 1962), from which he also received his BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1961. From 1962 to 1965, he was on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a line officer, and he served in active reserve assignments as an intelligence officer. As a U.S. Foreign Service Officer in the Department of State from 1965 until 1979, Paul served in diplomatic posts in France, Martinique, Sierra Leone, and the Dominican Republic. He also served in various management and policy positions in Washington, DC, during this period. Paul was the founding CEO of the Washington-based nonprofit Delphi International (1979-1995). In this capacity he designed and directed international educational exchange, training, and development programs involving over one hundred countries. In his long career, Paul has carried on an active program of cross-cultural research in the fields of psychology, anomalous human experiences, and frontier science. He is, or has been, an active member of the American Foreign Service Association, the American Political Science Association, the Association for Global New Thought, the Federation of American Scientists, the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the International Association for New Science, Mensa, the Twilight Club, the World Future Society, and many others. He currently writes in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Dahlonega, Georgia when not traveling for research and public presentations. In this interview, Paul discusses his latest book The Soul Genome, which has just been released. It has been called the most coherent, scientifically grounded, yet mind-expanding book to date on possible past lives by Dr. Brian O Leary. He adds that it skillfully broadens the seminal work of the late Professor Ian Stevenson in providing scientific evidence. Other reviews including Stanley Krippner, Jeffrey Mishlove, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and Norman Shealy, have called it (1) a provocative attempt to bring reincarnation into scientific discourse, (2) asking the important question: what are the theoretical implications for science if we take reincarnation cases seriously, and (3) a vital contribution to the quest to understand conscious evolution. This Soul Genome is based on the ongoing Reincarnation Experiment which was created to identify potential reincarnation cases with empirical evidence that can be evaluated by a scientific protocol. Paul Von Ward’s work on the scientific investigation and verification of reincarnation as fact is a valuable contribution to the ongoing work to create a rich lexicon of empirical studies that demonstrate the important link that human incarnational experiences lend to a more comprehensive epistemology of universal truths within our cosmos. I think you will find Paul’s brilliant work and integrity of great interest and importance, and it may well inspire you to further study this incredibly interesting field of expanding awareness of the scientific basis for understanding reincarnation as the basic fact of human experience it truly is.
