The Tesla Roadster is an all-electric sports car produced by Tesla Motors. The Roadster is the first production automobile to use lithium-ion battery cells, and the first production EV to travel more than 200 miles on a charge. In October 2009, the Tesla Roadster set the world distance record for a production electric car. It drove of 311 miles on a single charge. The Roadster accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds. It's fast, it's sexy, and it's electric. We spoke with Jon Taylor, Regional Sales Manager for Tesla Motors in Seattle, WA. Jon is, not suprisingly, passionate about the brand -- and he states quite eloquently why Tesla is a car of the future -- one that just happens to be available today.

Motorcycle racing is still pretty much a man's game, and it's rare to see a woman on the track who isn't an umbrella girl. So imagine our suprise when we saw that a female was competing in the 750cc motorcycle division at Pike's Peak International Hill Climb. We shot this interview with Brianne Corn as she was preparing to race Pike's Peak's gruelling 156 turns -- starting at 9,000 feet and finishing at 14,100 feet -- on a bike she put together herself. Brianne was not racing in some powder puff exibition class; this was the real deal.

Years later, in his late 40s, he was browsing through a Cycle Trader and spotted a Triumph flat tracker. He drove over to the sellers house and bought it. The seller asked Keith if he was going to race at Ventura that weekend? "Ventura," Keith asked? Keith showed up and placed third, where he caught the attention of Eddie Mulder. Jeremy LeBreton Talks Touratech

Jeremy LeBreton Talks Touratech

from gs911tool on March 10, 2009
Duration: 437
Jeremy LeBreton's story starts out as something familiar to a lot of us who didn't have access to motorcycles when we were young. He grew up in Chicago and always had a passion for bikes, but he didn't have an opportunity to ride until he was in college. After his first year at University, Jeremy decided that he wanted to see the ocean, and a motorcycle was the way he was going to get there. For any of us who've lived in the midwest, or for someone like me who grew up in Buffalo NY, that desire to ride on the beach and meet breaking waves like Matt Dillon in Rumble Fish -- from wherever you started your life to this incredibly liberating catharsis -- is powerful. Jeremy rode to the west coast, to California, spending a total of two months on the road. He had planned to ride north out of California, where he would catch Interstate 90 and return home, but he realized that his West Coast experience was transformative. He did ride north, but stopped in Seattle where he enrolled at the University of Washington. After graduating, Jeremy began a career as a metal worker where his metal-working cohorts introduced him to off-road riding. Jeremy's skill level increased quickly and he was introduced expert off-road riders, one of whom was Tom Myers. Tom Myers just happen to be the owner of the North American distributor for Touratech-USA. Jeremy and Tom became friends after numerous riding adventures. This eventually led to a job offer from Touratech, which Jeremy gratefully accepted.Girl Wonder interviewed Jeremy LeBreton, Vice President of Touratech USA, where he explained how and why Touratech engineers their products to such high standards. This is a must-see video if you are an adventure touring rider and you are looking for information about quality components and accessories for your next adventure.

Rich O'Connor: Master of The Custom Motorcyle Seat

Rich O'Connor: Master of The Custom Motorcyle Seat

from Stone Cold Sports on January 25, 2008
Duration: 337
My latest video podcast answers the question, "Why do stock motorcycle seats kick your ass?" I document Rich O'Connor's transformation of my stock BMW R1200R seat into a comfortable masterpiece. The biggest problem with stock seats is that they are supposed to fit riders who are 5 2 tall as well riders who are 6 4 tall. And they supposed to be comfortable for someone who weighs 120 lbs and for someone who weighs 240 lbs. Rich explained, "Imagine making a pair of pants that is supposed to fit someone between 5 2 and 6 4 ; they would fit absolutely no one." Rich O'Connor started working in the upholstery business in 1973. Why upholstery? "It's all I know," he claims. He got his first job in the business at age 15. He has successfully combined his love of motorcycles, cars and leather into an incredible operation located on Aurora Avenue North in Seattle. Rich's Web site is www.richscustomseats.com. Watch the video and you are guaranteed to learn more than you ever thought possible about motorcycle seats. Enjoy!
