What, if anything, is wrong with multicultralism Lord Parekh is Emeritus Professor of Political Philosophy at the Universities of Westminster and Hull. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and until recently President of the Academy of Social Sciences. He has been Professor at many European and American Universities including Harvard, McGill and University of Pennsylvania and is the author of several widely acclaimed books in political philosophy, the latest being A New Politics of Identity. Lord Parkeh has received many prizes and awards including BBC?s Special Lifetime Achievement Award, Distinguished Global Thinker Award, and the Padma Bhushan, one of India?s highest honours. He was made a Labour Peer in 2000.
