Duration: 549
Author: scorpionman89 Added: Fri, 28 Nov 2008 23:31:50 -0800 Duration: 549In this lesson I will teach you how to use the Chromatic Scale to warm up and get many techniques like alternate picking, palm muting, timing, rhythm, and fretboard literacy in one sweep with one pattern that can be done anywhere on the neck. The pattern is: Low to High Note (F Chromatic) E-1-2-3-4 A-1-2-3-4 D-1-2-3-4 G-1-2-3-4 B-1-2-3-4 E-1-2-3-4 Okay now, you can use this and do it with many things like palm muting every other string or doing it forwards and backwards. High to Low Note (F Chromatic) e-4-3-2-1 b-4-3-2-1 g-4-3-2-1 d-4-3-2-1 a-4-3-2-1 e-4-3-2-1 You can also do this in any position such as the next set up starting at the 5th fret (A note) Key of A Chromatic: E-5-6-7-8 A-5-6-7-8 D-5-6-7-8 G-5-6-7-8 B-5-6-7-8 E-5-6-7-8 shifting it up to the 13th fret making you still in the key of F Chromatic. F Chromatic (2nd Octave) E-13-14-15-16 A13-14-15-16 D13-14-15-16 G13-14-15-16 B13-14-15-16 E-13-14-15-16
