Heres a virtual movie of Padraic Colum 1871 - 1971 reading his truly enchanting poem if you've ever seen monkeys being sold in a petshop window (such a bloody cruel thing) you will know what he is getting at in this sad heartwrenching little poem......of course the poem also alludes to how we all cling to the ones we love in this life without who'm we'd be equaly lost...
