The Incredible HulkThe Movie
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) June 23, 2008
shazap.com I thought this movie was great. It wasn t as entertaining a movie as Iron Man was but I feel like they just did everything right. The cameos were appropriate and in the right place, the characters were very true to their being, and how they handled banners relationship with the Hulk was very good. The dialog was a little stale, but the story itself was great. One of my favorite things about the movie was how they revealed the Hulk. I mean it was a good 40 minutes into the flick before we saw its face. It added just the right amount of mystery and anticipation. I was a little worried about how the cgi characters would look but I gotta tell ya I didn t think they were half bad. The transformation stuff was awesome and the faces looked pretty realistic. The action was amazing. Really one of the best I ve seen. The super soldier fight was really well done and they did a good job of opening up the captain America movie. I have to say thought that my favorite aspect of the movie was that the hero just flat out beat the other guy. He didn t need any help or some lucky move he just overpowered the bad guy and won. It is one of my greatest pet peeves in the super hero movie genre when the hero needs help to win. Superman needed the Parker Posie character, Iron man needed Pepper Pots, Batman needed Gordon, and so on. The Hulk just proved that he was the better man. Really good definitely a must see and if you can see it somewhere that has an extra large screen all the better.
