from PodTech.net: Technology and Entertainment Video Network September 09, 2007

The Blog2Song Wrap
from The Jeff Pulver Blog September 08, 2007
So I was wondering where does one go to find some inspiration Geniuses at work and creativity in motion. And there I was at GeekCon on September '07. So there is this guy, and his name is Dror He likes to wrap his blogs to a different beat. There's Malik and Pravda, Scoble and Brogan, Pulver and Cuban and the Blonde named Ayelet He turned their blogs into songs - About some google phones and facebook tips. A song about Jobs and his stupid iPod pet tricks Social Networking - what makes it tick? A Cuban who still thinks the Internet is dead and boring and someone who's confused and thinks about Internet Mornings. And this is where this wrap ends. GeekCon is the place where the songwriting started. Visit Blog2Song and send your blog: we'll write a song about it. --- Words Written at GeekCon 2007 by: Jeff Pulver, Dror Gill, Ayelet Yagil. Music played live by Zvika Netter. Performed by: Dani Vardi, Ayelet Yagil and Dror Gill. Blogging vs. Journalism - John C. Dvorak and Om Malik
from - blip.tv (beta) July 29, 2007
John C. Dvorak and Om Malik led a discussion on the various differences between Blogging and Journalism at the Wordpress WordCamp 2007 event in San Francisco, CA. The event was held at the Swedish American Hall on July 21, 2007 and this segment was filmed between 11am and noon by John Pozadzides of OneMansBlog.com. There are aproximatly 14 more segments to be uploaded as the editing is completed. This video was filmed on a Canon XH A1camcorder with an Audio Technica AT897 shotgun microphone. The lighting and audio in the hall were sub-par, so post editing was done with Sony Vegas to increase volume and adjust contrast and color as much as possible.

USA Today: TechCrunch May Become More Influential than the San Jose Mercury News
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) July 05, 2007
Quite a glowing double profile of TechCrunch's Michael Arrington and Om Malik of GigaOM in Wednesday's USA Today by Michelle Kessler. These dudes are visionaries who have pioneered successful new, valuable media businesses by their bootstraps and through really hard work. Arrington told USA Today that they work so hard, he and OM have given up drinking -- and they often post through night. Yup, it ain't easy! Arrington says that his site is grossing $200,000 per month and is quite profitable. USA Today says the site has a million readers. Kessler writes that the blog could become as influential as the Merc: TechCrunch's impact could soon be as great as Silicon Valley's major newspaper, The San Jose Mercury News, says Paul Gillin, author of blog guide The New Influencers. "It's one of the first things I read every day," says David Cowan, a venture capitalist for Bessemer Venture Partners. "It's hard to describe the extent to which I rely on TechCrunch." Their work is impressive and it's wonderful to get this kind of write-up. I've posted my interviews with Om and Michael below. Michael's comments on the future of traditional media vs bloggging is worth a watch. See this video on Beet.TV: http://www.beet.tv/2007/06/techcrunch-may-.html
