November 21, 2009 - Taking Refuge

Thanksgiving is a celebration of giving thanks for a good harvest, which is what is being celebrated in the US in the coming week. And we're looking into what makes a bountiful spiritual harvest. Taking refuge is one of the more important things you do to insure a good spiritual harvest. And to see what's involved, there is no better example of taking refuge than the Three Refuges Of Buddhism. Go to almost any Buddhist handbook and you will find them: I take refuge in the Buddha.I take refuge in the Dharma.I take refuge in the Sangha. A bit of basic knowledge of Buddhism will give you a grasp of what these are. And do you know what? They, or their equivalents are found in almost any spiritual path. And do you know what? The cluster of paths which we follow have them in abundance, and at all of the levels you can imagine! In refuge, we find comfort, reassurance, nurturing, strengthening, and all else we need to follow our spiritual quests and deal with the mundance world at the same time! And with that and what we discover, we can really have a major harvest! Blessed Be!

My opinion of Namco's latest addition to their amazing beat em up series. Tekken 6 is copyright to Namco Bandai Games Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Please excuse the last part, this was for YouTube watchers, due to the stupid ten minute limit I had to split Mega Man up,

November 14, 2009 - Your Inner Vision
from The Secrets In Plain Sight! on November 13, 2009

Your inner vision. That is probably one of the most powerful of the so-called basics. Even the most mundane of the mundanes recognize its power, and some actually fear its power, especially the inner visions of others. After all, the inner visions of some people have grown to the point of founding empires, or destroying them. Your inner vision is what you see for yourself in the future. Some people might have more than one inner vision, but there is usually one inner vision in a person which dominates the rest. It is said that Walt Disney decided to see what he could make out of a mouse. More than one big name known in the world of retail began with a vision of owning a store - that is, one store. And when that store prospered, then the inner vision began to include more stores. They can even break through challenges, such as the hardware chain whose first store had its grand opening on the very day of the stockmarket crash which heralded the Great Depression in the US. To have an inner vision work for you, there are some factors that need to be considered. Is it long-term? What will fulfill it? Will it adapt to its first fulfillment, or will it expire at that time? What will it accomplish? How long will its effects last? And so, let's look at a couple of examples. If the inner vision is so central to the success of so many non-magickal people, imagine what it can do in the hands (and minds) of those who are magickal! It is the thoughtform of spellwork and meditation, transformed into a template for the future! And this is just the beginning! Blessed Be!

Gaming Memoria: Balloon Fight

A review/overview of what is apparently a hidden gem in the Nintendo library. This was one of my favorite games as a child and a game I still play today. It seems most people associate how this game is similar in style to William's Joust. I've had the script for this video finished for around 2 weeks now. I only worked on this review on and off over the last 4 days. I'm actually very impressed with the way it came out and how well my new style seems to flow, thus I will be using this for later reviews. Working on this review, I had the Balloon Trip theme in my head for days, and by the end of this video, I can guarantee you will too. ENJOY! The floating text on screen is my new gimmick. All video game characters are able to speak in floating text. This was actually something I've been experimenting with during development of The Mario Series pt2, and you will see more of that when that video is finally released. ...by the way, GMTMS pt2 will unfortunately not be coming to Blip.tv on November 9th due to an illness with one of my crew members. It will be coming at a later date, so this video will be used as a place holder for that in the mean time. Balloon Fight NES footage was played on my Wii since my NES seems to no longer read cartridges. I'm currently working on ordering a new 72-pin connector. Balloon Kid was played with a Gameboy emulator. For future reviews, I will be digging out my Gamecube's Gameboy player. Hello Kitty World was also played on an emulator since I don't own a Nintendo Famicom and thus it would be impossible to play this game any other way. Balloon Duel was played on my PC in my browser window. You can play this game yourself for free at: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/177120 A final note: Hater comments don't phase me. This just gives me more to laugh at and encourages me to keep doing what annoys you! Call me an AVGN ripoff all you want because I really don't care. James is a very talented director and actor and I've always had a lot of respect for everything he's done for the internet. But I also feel like he's not the only one who should be able to do this kind of thing.

See the making of this video here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=60701CBCBEA3C4C2 NOTE: I'll only be using this account to show off my major projects. For any mini videos, bloopers, making ofs, and trailers, please check out my YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/deadlyinsomnia This video contains and overview/review of the first three games in the original Mario arcade series: Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., and Mario Bros.! This is the first in a multi part series where I'll be covering the entire Mario series of games, leading all the way up to the games on current systems. A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS I'D LIKE TO SAY TO MY VIEWERS: 1. Call me an AVGN ripoff all you want. I seriously don't give a fuck. I hold a lot of respect toward James as a reviewer and gamer and appreciate everything he's done for the internet and gaming community. However, I don't feel he should be the only one allowed to do game reviews. 2. I apologize for the poor quality in most parts of this video. I wasn't really aiming for any super high quality, HD project. This was just something I did for fun and could care less if I make any money off of it or become an internet celebrity over night. 3. I would also like to mention and apologize about one more thing. I though I'd look ridiculous standing in front of an arcade machine with my camera. So, to make things a bit easier, the footage you'll see of any arcade version of these games is actually footage of someone else playing. To make up for this, all footage of home ports shown and mentioned in this review are played by me. I do or have owned the original games in one form or another, whether through the actual game cartridges themselves or through download on Wii Virtual console. There are and will be parts later on where I'll use emulation, but as I sated, I still own all of these games and systems. 4. No one is forcing you to watch this. If you don't like what you see, simply don't watch it and leave it at that. I'll be leaving all feedback posted, positive or negative. I will also try my hardest to reply to everyone who comments and answer your questions as best as I can. I do hope you enjoy what you see. I plan on updating this series every other week, so be sure to stay tuned for part two. I will post small filler videos every now and then on my YouTube Channel to help fill in the down time in between videos. I will be making a short 'Making of' video soon just to show off exactly what went down during the making of this video. Be amazed at my low budegtness!
