Le Musée National du Danemark (en danois : Nationalmuseet) est situé à Copenhague. Cet important musée centralise la majeure partie de la documentation historique relatant l'histoire et le patrimoine danois. Le musée se compose de plusieurs départements spécialisés : archéologie, préhistoire, ethnologie, numismatique, sociologie, science naturelle, communication, et d'importantes archives. Parmi les richesses présentées au public, le Chaudron de Gundestrup, la Pierre runique de Kingigtorssuaq et le Char solaire de Trundholm. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Nationalmuseet er Danmarks statslige, kulturhistoriske hovedmuseum og omfatter såvel danske som udenlandske kulturers historie. Det har til huse i Prinsens Palais (fransk for palæ), ved Frederiksholms Kanal i København. Bygningen blev i sin tid opført til den kronprins, der i 1746 besteg tronen som Frederik 5. Samlingerne går tilbage til Det Kongelige Kunstkammer, hvis store samling af kunsthåndværk, malerier, etnografiske genstande, våben og oldsager blev grundlagt af Frederik 3. omkring år 1650. I 1807 blev der oprettet en "kgl. Kommission til Oldsagers Opbevaring" og et Oldnordisk Museum blev åbnet på loftet over Trinitatis Kirke i 1819. I 1832 flyttede man oldsagerne til større og bedre lokaler på Christiansborg. The triple horn motif has been compared to a triskelion, or to the valknut symbol. The runestone is housed at the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen, Denmark.
